Popcorn Wishes and Kickstarter Dreams!

Hello Everyone!

It's been almost a month since the last update. Let's just say that the Holidays are the perfect excuse for things getting lost in the shuffle. I didn't lose sight of Popcorn, but it was definitely hard to make plans with anyone or get anything set in stone during this past month!

A couple of days after that last post I got some extremely great news; our Popcorn dvd project/Popcorn doc was approved for fund raising by Kickstarter! Unfamiliar with Kickstarter? Let me give you a little background! I will be cheap and pull this directly from their site (no miscommunication wanted haha):

Kickstarter is a new way to fund creative ideas and ambitious endeavors.
We believe that...
• A good idea, communicated well, can spread fast and wide.
• A large group of people can be a tremendous source of money and encouragement.

Kickstarter is powered by a unique all-or-nothing funding method where projects must be fully-funded or no money changes hands.

Mainly what this means is, if you have a creative idea, Kickstarter will allow you to host a fund raising page on their site, which opens you up to literally millions of potential investors. People who have never met you or even heard of you or your project can donate to your cause to help make it happen. Kickstarter operates on an all or nothing system, this means if you don't raise all of the money you don't get any of it. It's a risk I am willing to take, I believe in this project, and I believe there are a ton of fans who will help spread the word and who want to see this dvd and retrospective doc happen as badly as I do!

As soon as we finish the final layout and design of our Kickstarter page I will spread it like wildfire, and ask you to do the same. The sooner we raise the rest of the funding we need, the sooner we start making things happen! This project couldn't have made it this far without you and it won't continue on with you!

Can't wait to give you the next update! Stay tuned!
